Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
How do you take your protein shakes? Right now I'm using Fairlife chocolate milk, frozen strawberries, chia seeds, banana, quick oats and unflavored whey. It usually comes out to about 670 calories at 24oz. I'm also getting bored of it.

Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
To make gainz:
-4 oz heavy cream
-12 oz regular milk (2% or whatever)
-48g whey protein (myprotein Impact natural chocolate for me)
-Some coffee - maybe 2-3 oz
Tastes pretty damn good to me. 794 calories... 50p/21c/59f . Obviously high in fat, so not the most ideal macros, but it helps me get calories in.

Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
I don't know if it's my most calorically-dense shake, but this is a calorie-dense drink I enjoy when it's cold outside!
10 oz Fairlife whole milk
5 heaping tablespoons King Arthur hot chocolate mix
25 g unflavored whey
The trick is to dissolve the whey in the milk first, then slowly heat and add the hot cocoa

On a side note: unflavored whey + coffee tastes a lot like cappuccino, and I found it reeeeaaaaally good.

I would do this if I didn't have to restrict my daily fat intake to under 90g.Manveer wrote:To make gainz:

I'm gonna have to try that at some point. I have way too much unflavored whey.Murelli wrote:On a side note: unflavored whey + coffee tastes a lot like cappuccino, and I found it reeeeaaaaally good.

Two scoops ice cream.
Spoon of peanut butter powder
Scoop of whey
2% milk up to the top of the ice cream.
No clue on calories, but that's what I'm having tonight. Fuck you, prowler, I deserve it.

If you don't mind an overwhelming taste of peanut butter...
-2 cups whole milk
-1 cup Greek yogurt
-1/4 cup peanut butter
-1 scoop protein powder
-Couple of spoonfuls of chocolate milk mix, I don't know why, it always only ever tastes like peanut butter
Before the chocolate milk stuff, this works out to about 2600 calories and 148 grams of protein.

Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
This is my usual post workout shake prepared in the Ninja Pro:
1 cup cooked and cooled sweet potato (bake a bunch at start of the week)
1 cup whole milk
1.5 scoops vanilla whey
2/3 frozen banana (we keep frozen bananas cut up into thirds)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
heavy dash "pumpkin spice"
Fat 11
Carbs 93
Pro 48
Pretty easy to titrate the maple syrup and whey to fit your macro needs.

Off topic, but White Castle has to list the calories in their meals right on the overhead menu now, apparently. But I mean it's White Castle, their meals are like "20 sliders and two sacks of fries and a pop" - this is 4,900 calories. Says right on the sign. I just think that's hilarious, both the idea of some people just pounding that in one sitting, and the idea that the government wants White Castle to inform you of the total calories you and your couple friends who share a meal might be ingesting in total.

I guess it is that time of year!
That's what I need to be eating daily. I'm actually not sure there's a White Castle anywhere near me.ithryn wrote:Off topic, but White Castle has to list the calories in their meals right on the overhead menu now, apparently. Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
A local cafe does a Schwarzenegger shake:
Whey (I ask for 2 scoops)
Milk
Natural yoghurt
Oats
Honey
A banana
Very tasty, could benefit from vanilla ice cream

Dude, I feel so basic every time I pick up that spice shaker. But I also eat this all year long, so... less basic?d0uevenlift wrote:broseph wrote:heavy dash "pumpkin spice"

Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
3 scoops unflavored impact isolate
250ml pick your favorite milk. When I got raw milk the top was awesome
natty peanut butter
frozen banana
hersey's extra dark powder(no idea how powder can be dark or not but it tastes different like there's no such thing a milk chocolat powder. It's 100% cocoa any way you split it)
.5 cup instant oats for making the fibers!

Re: Your favorite, most calorically dense shake
The dark powder is cocoa that's been "dutched." It gets treated with an alkaline wash. Tastes good but lowers the antioxidant content bruh.Idlehands wrote:3 scoops unflavored impact isolate
