HVAC
I stumbled upon this today https://evapolar.com/products/evasmart-ev-3000, and remembered how much home gym owners try to increase their thermal confort in times of winter/summer.
1) What do you guys think about this equipment? IMO it wouldn't work well in Rio because of the high humidity.
2) Which solutions you guys use/recommend for HVAC? Big ass fans? Heaters? Insulation?
If we're better served by this thread being on the off-topic section, please someone send it there.

Re: HVAC
This works for me in central Ohio.
Hottest summer evenings are in the 80s F (~30 C) and humid. I don't lift in mid-day in the summer. Big fan is sufficient.
Coldest winter evenings *in a closed garage that shares a wall with the house* are just below freezing. Long underwear & sweatpants, wool socks, warm hat, sweater are sufficient.

Re: HVAC
I have to adjust my training schedule during the summer here (San Antonio). If I lift before noon I'm fine, but after that I feel like I can't drink enough to stay hydrated. I'll soak through 3 shirts in less than an hour. I don't mind the heat, but heavy squats + high heat makes me lightheaded. I was considering getting a portable a/c unit to use in the garage, but I'd rather just train earlier during the summer and save money.
I actually don't like training in temps below 70. Could be in my head, but my joints and muscles feel stiffer when it's cold, and I it takes longer for me to get "warmed up". I typically wear an oversized hoody, sweatpants and beanie if it drops below 50.

Im installing a heat/cooling/dehumidifier version of this as soon as I get the siding done.

Re: HVAC
I've had a portable AC from this brand that worked great in a bedroom during Rio summer (it gets to 40°C/104F with 70% humidity).
