Adams
I miss the 5lb tubs i could get for cheap at Safeway back in Oregon.

But i only eat plain peanut and salt style peanut butter.
I'm not a fan of hydrogenated fat and/or industrial vegetable oils.

I haven't bought peanut butter in several years because it inevitably results in me eating it straight from the jar with a spoon.

I like PB2 though. Not as good as real peanut butter obviously, but it's still good if you mix it right. Sometimes I add it to my (chocolate) protein shakes which is tasty and an improvement over just the whey by itself.

Crunchy is definitely the way to go for real PB though.

Skippy actually does a pretty respectable crunchy organic glass-jar peanut butter.

Now that I'm on the gainz train I'm back to JIF peanut butter. But PB2 is a legit lower calorie option.

I found adding a little honey to PB2+water makes for a much better consistency.

Don't they have a machine at the grocery store that grinds it fresh? It's far better. And they often have an almond grinder too. . . .

I use a store brand. Ingredients are peanuts and salt. Took a little adjustment after eating Skippy for a long time, but I prefer it now. Smooth, not crunchy.

Smuckers all-natural. Jif is a paltry half step above Skippy, but Smuckers is delicious. And it has the consistency of homemade peanut butter instead of the yogurt-like monstrosity that is Jif.

Alas, they don't sell it here in Alaska. But it wouldn't surprise me if Germany has it.

I like the natural kinds (like Smuckers), where you have to mix them before use. We mostly use the 2-pack from Costco.

Tip: After you buy it, store your peanut butter upside down. You'll still have to mix it, but it is not as much of a mess when mixing it, as the oil is on the bottom.

I also like PB2, and use it when I eat cereal. Two heaping TBS in the bowl, pour in cereal, and milk = tasty.

Koeze Cream Nut. Peanut butter should have exactly two ingredients, peanuts and salt.

I do that and then I use an electric mixer to mix it. Stick the beaters right into the jar. Start with a few pulses at low speed if you don't want the oil everywhere.

I like Trader Joe's unsalted crunchy which has only one ingredient. The salted versions have too much salt for my taste.

No, those others suck.
Natty Jif is king.

Edit: I like the taste of a true natural PB, but I can't mix it up without getting oil all over myself and the kitchen so I just end up eating dry peanut paste. Natty Jif is a nice compromise.

Fact: adding salt, sugar, and hydrogenated oil to any food makes it better.

Wash it down with a nice, tall, glass of malk.
