I have both
russian country, and paris loose, and a chocolate mint in satchets. he'll probably bring more as he gets it.

be careful what you ask for ... I have a friend that goes way over the line. My brain is still seared by the homemade birthday card he gave me one year that was full of cock. I may bug him to help create your care package. #pun

I got up to IKEA yesterday and bought one of those French press things.

The loose leaf that @Idlehands sent me is sublime; my good man, do you remember the details of that blend?

I’m looking forward to doing the loose leaf deal on weekends. During the week I’ve’nt enough time.

I bought a different thing just in case I wanted to try the same process with coffee.

In my efforts to avoid off topic areas I guess I missed out on this thread.

@Chebass88 Constant Comment is the stuff, man. I could drink that almost daily.

Lapsang souchong is awesome.

I like froufrou Earl Greys that are heavy on the bergamot and have added lavender or vanilla; Trader Joe's has a really good one now -

Matcha tea is another fun thing to get into. I usually pick some up in Chinatown.

I like guayusa a lot. Get it on Amazon.

I no longer like mate after someone pointed out it tastes like steeped cigarette butts and I realized it kinda does.

Just looked in my tea cupboard. I do have a can of matcha! Now to figure out when/how to drink it. I may have went crazy ordering all the green teas from my buddy before he left for his new job lol

@ithryn, that TJ's Earl Grey is decent. I'm still uncertain about it.

@Idlehands, you remember what the loose leaf is that you sent me? It's fantastic and I need to know so that I can buy a whole bunch more!

Matcha is cool. There's some process but I think you basically put some powder in a cup (squatter and more bowl shaped the better) and whisk in boiling hot water.

To be honest I mostly just dump some into protein shakes. Or whisk some into cold water and add sugar.

My wife got me Mariage Freres French breakfast tea for Christmas. It's amazing. Super expensive, but second cups brew just as delicious as the first.

I strongly recommend one of these as a brewing device. They are supremely useful.

And a savory pie is just stew in a sandwich with extra steps...

Speaking of sandwiches
