Bands, chains, wraps, straps, racks... are you sure this is training related?

I was also considering a buffalo bar, but I haven't got access to try one, Admittedly haven't tried a ssb either though.
I was leaning towards the ssb cause I can tell it would relieve my shoulders, wrists and elbows. I just don't know if the bend on a buffalo would be enough to give my shoulders a break without actually trying one.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the edge, 315.00 after shipping. Pretty much over budget but I’d rather have a good product. http://www.edgefitnessystems.com/yoke-ss-bar.html

Also maybe explain to your wife that you could be blowing money on way more expensive things so you are actually being reasonable here, good luck

Mentioned you heard about the Edge Fitness SSB on here; we have sent some business his way, Rick might end up giving one-of-us a discount or something in the future.

Let him know we’d like to do an equipment oriented Q&A with him also if you don’t mind. That would be cool, right @Cody?

I sent a follow up message. It is more likely his son will respond but we will see. It would be cool to have a Q&A with him. He seems to have been involved with or known everyone in powerlifting and gym equipment in Ohio, which are both disproportionately large groups in the industry.

I've been thinking about this since you posted. And I'm starting to lean towards a buffalo bar again. Don't want to derail this thread further so I'm gonna start one on buffalo bars. I did a search and couldn't find one.

Titan v2 SSB is out:

Really curious to see how reviews feel about this vs the Yoke bar. With a sale it's going to be pretty affordable.

What makes it V2?

They've done this with a bunch of their stuff but I never see them explicitly say what they "improved"...

Yeah, I've heard people say the angles were all wrong on the Titan SSB... I wonder if they fixed it?

Based on that photo, looks like the angle issue has been addressed.

I am considering a SSB or buffalo bar. When you use a buffalo bar, do you place it in a LBBS position on you back and then the curvature just makes it easier on your shoulders/elbows or do you place it in a HBBS position and curvature places the weight so as to simulate LBBS mechanics?

Hard to argue with that price point then... I might have to rethink my Black Friday order list.

I own quite a bit of Titan products and am overall happy with the quality and value. With that said, I would spend up to $125.00 more for an EliteFTS, Black Widow or Edge Fitness safety squat bar. They are proven quality and reliability; I feel like the first wave of buyers on the v.2 Titan SSB are beta testers. Then again, if there is an issue, Titan will take care of it. In my experience, Titan's customer service is very good about returns/exchanges - if a bit slow.

Oh dayum yeah ok...

Admittedly I've only recently considered getting an SSB and didn't really bother looking for the V1 info... I figured like their "old" logs it just got buried/taken down...

Edit: and yeah looking at the old one, it looks like the camber runs parallel with the handles... the new one looks like a Yoke SS knockoff...

Yeah, v1 has the wrong camber and was very whippy at like 200lbs.

And 15" between the pads. It was just a really poor design, even not factoring in Titan build quality.
