You usually are using acceleration to get through that part of the range, so it's going to be weird to make that part the deadstop. But you will find that you adjust quickly and forget how hard they seemed initially.

Yeah, I've done them off pins in the past, but it feels a good bit harder off of blocks for some reason. But as you've pointed out, it's probably just a novelty effect that will dissipate.
