..from the other thread
mbasic wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:19 am I put in an query to Pioneer . . . to see if they could custom make a Bulgarian style WL belt. . . . with the offset buckle.
I do not know if any other company is doing this; I never have seen them "commercially available".
Hopefully, they will do it.

If they make me one, I'm going to promote the hell out of it.
Post in on r/weightlifting, the WL Forums, etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure a lot of WeightLifters would buy. Just like they buy new shoes every six months.
Either functionality ; or just the nostalgic aspect.

I can't remember who it was, I thought it was Cummings or Maurus, someone hit their belt buckle with a clean or snatch in a big meet recently . . .threw them off, failed lift. With this setup, you buckle is off to the side somewhat. Not perfect, but better.

Yeah the international flat rate shipping is pretty new. I ordered my Pioneer belt last year during their July sale, and the intl shipping would have been expensive at the time. They changed to the flat rate a few months later.

Anyways, guys, I want to order a 4" 10mm single prong belt from Pioneer. I am having the hardest time deciding if I should get a brown leather belt with white stitching (I'd want it to look similar to this Titan belt: https://titansupport.com/product/longho ... rong-belt/), white leather, or blue suede with Exodus logo. I don't know what to get. HALP pls.

Glad to hear it! Sick of buying cheap belts. I've hovered around 196lb long enough that I don't think my waist will go back up for a while, so I don't mind spending some money on a belt.

Nah, I looked at my budget and it's just not there.

I can, however, afford a new belt. :)

Speaking of blue suede, what's the best way to clean all the nasty white chalk off my blue suede Pioneer Fitness belt?

Anyone who doesn't have untreated leather straps from Pioneer is missing out. These rock.

Pioneer makes nice belts, and the customization options are cool. However for a competitive IPF weight lifter they obviously won't be allowed, and I don't blame Pioneer for not paying the outrageous and greedy IPF fees. Makes you wonder how the other belt makers afford it. Probably because they supply other equipment as well to spread out the costs over their product lines (with the exception of Best belts).

I also wouldn't buy any lever belt but an SBD after having both types. The adjustability is like a prong except you can make it tighter, plus the belt quality is right there at the top. You'd better like black though...

You say that, but I know people who have gotten belts that haven't been completely customized, i.e., relatively plain and look like they could pass as an Inzer, Best, or Titan belt.... No one competing at the international level, but for national and regional meets in the USAPL, you technically need IPF-approved gear.

I'd go blue suede with with Exodus logo. White leather in second.

down here PA made us have only gear from the IPF list for local meets. A middle aged woman in her first comp, lifitng baby weights, and they wouldn't let her use her no name belt and wrist wraps.
