I would also suggest perusing Amazon. I've found very reasonably priced sources of whey since both MyProtein and Bulk sky-rocketed in cost.

Re: The Cheap Whey Thread
No Costco in the state.
I never thought i'd see another halfway decent code for myprotein, but i just got one from slickdeals
It was supposedly 11lb bags of isolate (chocolate mint) for $70.55, but it actually ended up being $88 a bag.
Still acceptable in the current market, especially since it's isolate and each bag will go that much farther.

When i used this code and got the iso for $88 for 11lb bags, myprotein had jacked up the already outrageous price another $25 to $224.99Wilhelm wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 9:54 am No Costco in the state.

That deal was on some expire over time scale too, I got less of a discount when I used it after you. but Mocha had a cheaper price for some reason - might have been a clearance thing or something but it was less than the other flavours. I was about to pull the trigger on Muscle Milk isolate on Amazon, but I got almost the same price with that code and MM was only in Vanilla at the good price.Wilhelm wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 12:06 pmWhen i used this code and got the iso for $88 for 11lb bags, myprotein had jacked up the already outrageous price another $25 to $224.99Wilhelm wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 9:54 am No Costco in the state.

Anyone had any of the stevia flavors at MyProtein? An 11lb bag is sitting at $96 right now.

Different flavors have different prices, and that is post-discount. The regular (non-stevia) is an extra $20 per 2.5kgGlasgowJock wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 9:09 amWhat the heck?! It's like $200 for a 5kg bag of MYP whey in the UK pre-discount currently...

Anyone got the hookups on isolate? I'm finally out and can't be arsed to pay 140/5lbs for Dymatize.

Re: The Cheap Whey Thread
Anyone know what prompted the change on Myprotein's website to list bag sizes according to total servings instead of weight? More transparency? Or some kind of obfuscation?

Re: The Cheap Whey Thread
The app still uses weight. Sigh. I’m glad I panic bought whey last Black Friday, cuz now their sale price isn’t much than better than Costco’s ON whey.

Re: The Cheap Whey Thread
In terms of grams of P, the ON Gold at Costco these days is often cheaper than the Impact whey sale price. And mixes much better. Also the ON is 120cal for 24g P, while the Impact is 150cal for 26g P.

I wish I could have a Costco membership. I had one for a year once but I always ended up walking out spending $300~. I don't trust myself in a warehouse store.

Impulse control is a thing there - I go with a list
BTW - I’m on vacation and left my protein scoop at home. Impact whey scoop is 70cc, which (I believe) is a round 1/4 cup. Perhaps this info will help someone else neurotic enough to track protein on vacation, but not neurotic enough to remember to bring a scoop.

I find measuring with scoops or cups to be pretty imprecise. The powder can be more or less dense, I guess. I use a scale, but will admit that I don't know how accurate or precise it is either.

Re: The Cheap Whey Thread
Whey is like flour in that it'll pack easy so volume measurements are pretty dependent on how the bag was handled, if it was sifted and how fast you scoop. But if you're consistent I don't see it mattering much.
I think most cheap kitchen scales are accurate to +/- 2g which is close enough for me. I have a 50g weight that came with my grain scale and the scale I have in the kitchen reads 50g consistently.
