If I never see another truck, it’ll be too soon. Fak.

8/30/21 - Monday

Notes: Body feeling pretty decent, but maybe more time needeeZ I fatigue kinda easily still. Gonna do another 4-6 weeks of upper work with the Airdyne mixed in for work capacity, then hopefully I can get back to a full body routine for a bit.

BW 240.2 comfort eating like a mf this weekend.

So I enjoyed some very funny haha jokes after that that accident. Last Tuesday when I tried to go back to work, not so funny-haha. Am concussed. Point Truck, I guess.

10 days from the collision and still not ready to go back to work. Too much activity or even too much stimulation and I won’t feel well. Supposedly 80% of people are well enough to work in 7-14 days following onset of symptoms (which was 7-8 days ago). I’m making progress day to day and am able to do longer stretches of light housework or childcare (legit would have to lie down after 5 mins watching my 3yo last week).

So yeah, lifting is down the list of priorities. Gonna do some word searches and take a walk. Thanks be to the lord, I am now feeling well enough to haunt off-topic again.

9/23/21 - Thursday

5 Rounds of:

3 Chins
5 Pushups
7 Air Squats
200yd run.

Notes: Greg Glassman did nothing wrong.

9/26/21 - Sunday

Airdyne: 10 mins alternating between 1 min@ 60% and 1 min @80%.
Press - 85x6x5
Chins - 4x6
Lunges - 4 sets of 10 each leg.
Airdyne : 10 minutes same as above.

Will incorporate resistance again once I can run halfway down the block and back without wheezing. A month of no training and minimal physical activity really took me down a few pegs.

9/28/21 - Tuesday

Press

125x3x5 - wanted that to be my last warmup, but it needed to be the work weight. Humbling oof.

5 rds of

8 Pushups
10 Goblet Squats
4 Chins
150yd farmer walk w 40lb dumbells. I threw these on my shoulders at times. Very uncomfortable, prob won't do that again.

9/30/21 - Friday

HBBS (oh shit, whaddup)

165x3x5

I controlled my dumbshit instinct to load more weight, but I’m still gonna have weird soreness tomorrow. Using high bar to make my legs strong and beautiful.

Chins/DB Press Superset

Total 24 chins in 7 mins with 3 sets of 8 40lb DB presses mixed in.

1.1 miles w 30 lbs in a backpack. Looking at better packs now. I like this idea for LISS, but prob need to find a better loading setup and appropriate starting load/distance and progression.

Notes: Feeling a little less weak with each session. This might justify setting goals and making a plan soon.

10/3/21 - Sunday

Press

130x5x3

DB Lunge x Curls

35x6x4 on each exercise

30lb Ruck

30 minutes. I was supposed to do about 15-18, but it was night time and there was a family of skunks hanging out in my back yard when I got there. Had to go all the way around the block. This is the second skunk encounter back there in 2 months. Skunk war.

HBBS (no belt)

245x8
245x5x2
245x4x4

Short rests. Cardio goodness.

Bench

200x5x8

I’ve been getting three sessions/wk.

Press, accessory, cardio
Deadlift Accessory, Cardio
Squat,Bench, maybe accessory/cardio, maybe not

Building some work capacity. Doing a little more stretching, lunges, hip-movin and shaking. Full hang chins and pull-ups 1x/wk each, building those up. I think it will eventually help my bench to build more size in my weak upper back and arms.

4-6 more weeks of this, then pivot. What to do, what to do?
