Titan Bike x18:
0:30 on
0:30 off

26.7 mph
15.11 Cal/work minute
I'm starting to think I need to log my bike time like this. The distances being 1 sig fig just suck, but work is work.
Are your speeds peak or the average?
Yeah, I think the Assault Bike’s onboard computer was a little better than Titan’s for tracking.

I’m tracking average speed while working, calculated from that 1 sig fig total distance and my actual work time (9 minutes today).

LOWER

Squat 275x7x5 @EZPZ
(70%, H=389)
Haven't squatted in heels in ages; feels amazing compared to those Nano's.

DL 315x4x4
(65%, H=131)
Easing in to deadlifts after not doing them for so long. Also not used to this much lower body stress per session. I hate to nocebo myself, but I'm anticipating a restless night of sleep from that big ol' cortisol dump (historically, this has been my response to squatting and deadlifting in the same session).

Supersetted x3:
Hanging Knee Raise x10
EZ Curl 88x14

Musings: Good neighbors brought us meatloaf, green bean casserole, and crescent rolls last night. Between the niceness of the gesture and my innate frugality, I cannot throw away the food. I finally finished that lasagna with today's lunch, and I suspect this meatloaf and casserole is even more calorically dense than the lasagna.

Maybe I'll rinse the cream of mushroom soup off the green beans in a colander, and rebake the the meatloaf on a rack to drain it of some of it's syrup and fat? I am such a douche.

UPPER, or
lol let's see how many different lifts we can do either sitting or laying down. For your slothfulness.

Bench 265x5x4, 1x8
(75%, H=448)

Chins BW+90x5x5
Hanging is still more slothful than standing.

Seated DB Press 40x4x12

Supersetted x4:
Incline Tricep Press 88x12. I'm loving the tension curve in the incline position.
Incline DB Curl 30x ...5. These were way more brutal than I was expecting, and the crazy light weight makes me question their usefulness.

I've already squatted twice this week but I feel like lifting, so we'll just do a light leg day. Then we can do a proper bench day tomorrow.

LIGHT LOWER

SSB Squat 255x5x5
(65%, H=204)

RDL 275x3x5

Supersetted x3:
Seated Calf Raise 225x16
Hanging Knee Raise x11

Musings: Biceps were pretty sore today after those sets of 5 incline DB curl... Gonna keep doing them.

Bodyweight: 189.0#

Somehow maintained my weight this week despite lasagna, meatloaf, green bean casserole, Halloween candy, and also I had a lot of pizza and wine and ice cream for dinner last night.

Waist circ. is just over 34.5". I'd like to get that down to under 34 before returning to maintenance. Maybe 2 more weeks of cutting?

UPPER

Bench 230x8x7 @EZPZ
(65%, H=457)
It's the freakin' weekend baby so I took long luxurious rests on some of these. I'm guessing the pizza, ice cream, and long luxurious rests contributed to the EZPZ-ness.

Dude aside from the candy, that sounds like some solid food to fuel yourself

Yeah... I've been debating with myself all day about whether to keep cutting for a couple weeks or embrace the gainzzz.

Postworkout: Just before starting that superset I channeled by inner @JFick and was a minor asshole to the salesman ringing my doorbell. Aggressive unlock and door open, "no thank you" in a harsh tone with accompanying door slam and lock.

If my family was starving and door to door sales was my only option, I would do it and take the abuse. But I believe it to be the lowest form of actual work (CEO's and other administrators do not count as actual work, obviously). My house is my safe space and guests that annoy me will be treated cruelly and without mercy. For your Laveyan Satanism.
haha, didn't know you were back... only a couple months behind

but yasssss, let the hate flow

just kidding. yea, not my best moment. not any sort of buddhist skillful means.

funnily enough, finally just saw the guy again yesterday and was able to apologize. told him i stand by not curling in the squat rack when the gym is busy but that i went about it all wrong. he said my meme comment got him good and he rethought his actions. LOL. so perhaps it was for the better. we shook hands and parted ways.

I'm glad you were able to have resolution with this.

One time my wife and I were hiking and a couple of off leash dogs got up in our business and I got up in the owners' business. Words were exchanged, and in their emotionally charged state they left their coffee thermos behind. I jogged up behind them and returned it. It's good for people to know you hold a few wild cards.

Long day. Don't feel like squatting.

LOWER

SSB Squat 275x7x5
(70%, H=389)
I hate when your hips just pretend like they've never seen a squat before. Everything was unreasonably tight and uncomfortable.

RDL 275x4x5

No time for accessories today. Who cares.

CARDIO

Titan Bike x6:
2:00 on
2:00 off

24.0 mph
14.33 Cal/min

Musings: I go straight from bed to torlet to Titan bike, and it takes me an interval or two to warm up. But I am unwilling to wake up even earlier to do a dedicated warmup.

I'm guessing an 8/10 effort on daily cardio is still WAY better than what I've done before, which is no cardio at all. For your health.

broseph wrote: Sat Oct 22, 2022 8:45 am My wife was forced to come out of the atheism closet to her evangelical mother yesterday.
This has blown up far beyond anything I could have anticipated. My wife has had some email correspondences with her mother, and I have been super proud of all her responses; level-headed, rational, warm, but honest. Her mother is responding like she's reading the wrong script.

I could totally understand if they were concerned about our souls (and their grandkids' souls), but they are responding more like we are attacking them? I am completely flummoxed. Like, I'm questioning early unset dementia from her mother it's so crazy.

Also, who could have possibly predicted the generation that thought "having feelings is gay" would be so emotionally stunted, angry, and spiteful?

For your WWJD bracelets.
