Something happened the last few weeks of training where Jordan just didn’t peak right, and I think the timing on the platform, especially for squats, took a lot out of him. He looked tired on OHP and DL.
His coach didn't peak him right? Is he his own coach?

Mike T was coaching him.

Yeah, I thought Jordan was doing his own at this point.

Probably feeling the heat from an increase in participation in that org. I'm guessing his margin of victory is shrinking.

That's what he said when asked about it on Instagram live a few weeks ago.

Jordan's press is sweet. That's what a press should look like, IMO.

I am surprised and pleased to learn that I can apparently squat more than Jordan.

Which is all that matters.

Because he's better at everything else.

Nah. I think my total went from 258/120/303 (or something) to 268/125/317 in a year. I added 1kg to my total from the meet 11 weeks prior to this meet.

It wasn't a good setup for some PR's- though I do think I am close to a press and DL PR, which I expected to hit at the meet, but things change. After the squats were over I kinda realized that and thought I'd just hit a PR on my press, but then I screwed up my second. Such is life.

Yea I have been working with Mike since August '17.

I think the peak was fine, honestly.

Ha! Well, I definitely enjoy squats less than the other lifts, but I have squatted 640 (with wraps) in a meet and 600 in the gym (sleeves). Most of my numbers are decent relative to the competition (USAPL), without any one being standout level. On a good day where the stars align, I could put up a big total. I guess that's why I keep doing this shit.

Did the time between squat attempts throw things off?

Dennis Cornelius and Jesse Norris have also signed up.

In the words of Chaste Limply, "Damn it...FUCK!".

Actually, lifting is for slow losers and fast guys that weren't fast enough (Jon Hantis).

Yea that didn't help.

Other thing is, on Tuesday the week of the meet I was doing my openers and heard/felt a pop in my Left leg (medial compartment) at 550 on the squat
and it was bugging me quite a bit. Less on the squat than the DL, but still there (and definitely in my head).

Then, Cordova missed his 2nd squat attempt and I saw Chase's 2nd, I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to do to put up the biggest total and win the meet. I don't mean that any kind of way other than that's what influenced my 3rd squat attempt and subsequent meet management.

Have you considered working with an experienced SSOC member, such as Matt Reynolds, Scott Hambrick, or Chase Lindley?
