Would you like to have manufacturers to have equal access here?

If we contacted or were contacted by manufacturers, would you kindly people want to have them as part of the member base?

As a reference, Matt Hadden from Pioneer had an account on SS and provided great information.

We were thinking of contacting some of the smaller equipment guys and seeing if they would want to be part of the conversation here.

I don’t mind seeing vendor reps on forums. Especially when their user tags are designated as such.

It’s been my experience that they provide useful insights and are rarely intrusive.

Yeah, so long as they're identified as such.

This x2. Matt, for example, would be incredible to have. The Stoic people would be awesome. Uh... Titan? Somebody who does calibrated/uncalibrated plates (particularly because I'm considering replacing 2-4 of my 45s  )? Rogue or someone would be cool to talk barbell/steel, we've got some people here already pretty knowledgeable, but a manufacturer would be cool.

Pioneer, Titan, Rogue, Stoic, micro-plates dude, etc would all be nice to have around, as long as they have vendor tags.

Real people posting actual opinions and info, yes.

I'm sure the normal rules regarding promotion and spamming would be in place.

Perhaps limit all special deals, offers etc... to one mega thread.

But, i think, having these people here would be good for the board ultimately.

I'll throw Rep Fitness into the mix, since one of their guys is fairly active and helpful on the BB.com equipment forum.

I will add that they should also have to post at least one cute kitten pic as a form of initiation into the fold.

I'll leave that to @Cody. Matt seems to be wicked busy getting through a backlog of belts.

Having the custom guys like Edge and Black Widow here might be interesting. One, because they can make custom things. Two, because they can tell us our ideas are stupid if they are.

Is it "equal access" if they have the user tag "vendor" associated with account?

Anyway, I am all for it as long as it's disclosed in their tag or whatever.

Well, equal permissions, I guess? They basically have equal access now, it's not like we are stopping anyone from joining the forum.
That I know of.

Basically, yeah, standard user accounts, but we can give them the special ranking of "vendor" that would denote them as such.
