Meet Results
Moderators - Any chance of having a sub-forum for meet results? We have quite a few competitive lifters and it would be nice to have a place to place meet results to see how everyone is doing.

Re: Meet Results
I'm not a moderator, but maybe just a meet results thread would work best? In the "Strength Sports" forum?

Re: Meet Results
@Skid has a good idea.
Folks should post meet write-ups here copied from and linked to their logs. It would help build traffic in this forum and also consolidate those types of data for folks looking.

Re: Meet Results
Might be nice to have meet results megathreads in the Strength Sports forum for each of the sports so folks can follow along at home more easily.

I'll have three women lifters going. Alexa's a newbie and this is just to challenge her to get out of her comfort zone. Giulia's a newbie, too, but talented - finished her novice linear progression with 105kg work set squat. Rosemary's doing her last meet in this age category, in May she turns 70yo, she pulled 120kg last year.

I want to total over 455kg. "Over a thousand" in lbs.
I've lifted for 1,015 so far in training, but i'm hoping to get some more in my squat before then so i have a little wiggle room. * Just realised the TSA attempt sheets only do 5kg jumps. Different scenarios with 2.5kg jumps gives me a little more peace of mind here.
White lights on my first squat is goal one.

Re: Powerlifting Meets/Results
Previously competed in the Colorado Fall Open USAPL sanctioned local meeting in Denver. 105kg open division.
I went 8/9. Total 1217
Highest lifts:
Squat- 424
Bench- 341
DL- 452
That got me last place in my weight. I'll go back this fall and try to add a couple hundred pounds to that total. This time I won't be touching baby powder. For some reason I got talked into using it on my legs for DL even tho I've never used in training. It makes for a nice slippery substance when trying to hold on to your 3rd PR DL attempt. For now I'm only on track for one meet a year. Maybe I'll try for 2 but 1 a year seems like a good amount to track long term progress.
Ultimate goal is 1600. 600/405/600

Maine State Powerlifting championships. USAPL 2018
9 for 9. All white lights
Squat
365
386
391 - 5lb PR
Bench
205
215

Deadlift
375
397
408 - 3 lb PR
Total - 462.5 kg/ 1019.638 lbs
Maine state Masters 2b records for all lifts and total (the bar was pretty low for this)
Bronze medal for Masters all age classes.
This was so much more fun than i could have imagined.
Full write up tomorrow.
Tired AF right now.
Could have squatted more, could have pulled more. But i don't regret following my plan, which was to do well, but be conservative for my first meet.
