Solid session this morning. I tried a couple of different things:
- Cut back a couple of sets on bench in favour of DB Bench
- Super setted DB bench with RDLs - I guess this was OK. It's a time saver at least.
- Conditioning was brutal, but good. Nice to try a few different things, and again, save some time.

Finally back to training after being knocked on my ass from the flu. I haven't been that sick in a very long time... I forgot what it was like to be that sick. Sure, I've had a head cold, but I could train around that easily. This took everything out of me. I had a headache that didn't go away for 3 days, and my body constantly ached. It was shitty. I was also off work for 4 days.

Anyway, I trained on Friday (some light work) and it was rough. My work capacity was shit, and I felt like crap afterwards. This morning was significantly better, despite obviously feeling weaker. That makes sense given that I did lose enough weight that my coworkers were concerned, and my future in-laws were very concerned. I finally regained my appetite over the weekend and a bit of the lost weight as well.

Welcome back to the land of the living :)

They do tell me that the flu (the proper flu, not just a cold) can be nasty. Luckily my work pays for us all to get vaccinated every year if we want it, and I've never had to suffer through it... Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks! Yeah, it's awful. Actually, the flu shot is free here in socialist Canada, but I never get it. I had the stomach flu about 4 years ago, and that was torture... Pretty much everything I recently went through, plus throwing everything up. :)

It's sort of a humbling experience? Going from doing everything for yourself to being put on your ass, hard. I guess it makes you appreciate good health that much more.

Good session this morning. Front lever needs a lot of practice, and conditioning was very tough. Actually, given that I rest 30 seconds between Clean & Push press sets, and everything else is super-setted, I don't think I need to do dedicated conditioning on Tuesdays (and Fridays) anymore. I think I'll remove it going forward.

Walking lunges are... interesting.

My deadlift single had a softer than I'd like lockout, mainly due to grip. Otherwise, it was a good session I'd say.

Good session this morning. Top deadlift set went up a lot faster than I thought. Rated it an 8.5 though. Might have been an 8?

A couple of things to note: tried varying rep ranges for bench and front squat and that was fun. Also started taking creatine again after being off of it for about 5 months.

Monday's workout was a rare evening workout. It was fine, but I prefer mornings so that I can stay consistent and not miss any sessions due to anything after work.

I was in SOCAL from Wed-Sun, so no "training". But if you follow me on instagram, you would have noticed me flailing around like a fool in the hotel room a couple of days. (Burpees, push ups, BW squats, etc.). It wasn't bad... got a decent "workout" from it, which helped with all the food I stuffed my guts with :)
